What’s he been up to?

I keep you all updated on Jaxon quite frequently. But, what’s that little guy, Carter, been doing these days?

For starters, he has now had a taste of rice cereal. He’s not too keen on it. I have to catch him at the right time for him to want to partake. I don’t remember having this problem with Jaxon. But, I will just keep trying.

I want him to down a whole bowl of it before bed, in hopes that he will sleep through the night. I have not been successful at this yet.

Which brings me to my next point. He is not sleeping through the night. For about a week, he started to sleep all night. And, now, he’s waking up sometimes twice a night. Ahhh!

Another point, that may coincide with the last. He is teething. This may be the reason for waking up during the night. Maybe he’s in a lot of pain. He’s been very difficult to get down for naps. I just bounce, sing, hum, bounce, sway a little, and bounce some more. He will go to sleep, but be awake in 30 minutes. Aren’t babies supposed to sleep for at least 2 hours at a time. My guy likes his cat naps.

I’ve seen this look a lot these days.

distressed

I will say, overall, he really does laugh, smile, and talk 85% of the time. I am grateful for that. He is a ticklish little booger. For some reason, I didn’t have any super recent pictures of him smiling.

He went on a boat ride with his brother on Sunday. This was his first time in a pool. He looked a little annoyed the whole time or maybe it was just confusion.

We have brought up another piece of baby equipment from the basement. Our house is beginning to look like Babies R Us. He is now sitting/slouching in his high chair.

He is losing his hair. Pretty soon, he will look like a little old man with a toupee. I couldn’t help but think of Kate Gosselin when I took this picture. Do you see it?

losinghairI’m almost positive that he is also fake coughing. It doesn’t sound real, and he laughs after he does it. Yesterday, Jaxon would fake cough, and twice, Carter coughed after him.

He has rolled over a handful of times. I have only seen it a couple of times, but Marty has gotten the privilege to witness it more.

Oh yes, and he’s been pooping. This is “the face.” Lots of grunting and oh so serious. Once in a while you can get him to smile in the midst of his concentration.

Carter is 20 weeks.

Love you Buddy!

Aawww… he’s so precious!! As for rice cereal… bleh! Have you ever tasted that stuff??? No wonder most babies hate it! We just waited until ours could reach out and grab cheerios for cereal… Once they were old enough for fruit they got that… along with some veggies… but as for cereal… yucky stuff!!!

And yeah, I do see the KG connection in that pic! Was it Aaden??
