Yesterday was Carter’s big half a year celebration. We had no official celebration, but did have a fun day thinking over the past 6 months and how much he has grown.
He had his 6 month doctor’s appointment. He truly enjoyed tearing the paper off of the table and kicking furiously.
I pestered the doctor with all kinds of questions. Is that lump okay? Shouldn’t he be eating more? Paranoia aside, Carter checked out just fine. Doc said he’s about the size of a 9 month old. Healthy as a clam, we left just in time to pick up Jax from school.
Dump truck rides were also on the agenda yesterday.
Cruel and unusual punishment? Maybe, but it was cute for a second.
He also enjoyed sitting like a big boy while watching his brother play.
Jaxon took time out of his busy schedule to love on his Bubby.
And, of course, we needed some sort of excuse to make cupcakes. I know Carter can’t enjoy these, but we sure can.
I almost brought myself to tears this afternoon, thinking about how much he’s grown. He’s phasing out of the baby stage and bordering on the “I’m gonna start doing all kinds of cool stuff” stage. I can’t wait, but will miss his teeny tiny toes and those moments when I couldn’t believe that I really just had another baby. Looking forward to seeing him crawl, but most of all, at this very moment, looking forward to the day when he sleeps through the night. I believe that day will also require lots and lots of cupcakes, with lots and lots of sprinkles.

Aawww… it comes all too soon!! I’m sure you can remember when Jax did all those things, too!
Is Carter going to have curly hair like his big brother??? It’s looking mighty wavy there!! Such gorgeous boys you two make!
Sorry to say but my little Brooke was 6 months old on Sept. 15th and she is still not sleeping all night. Up 3 to 4 times a night to get a drink from the milk woman! Ha.
Happy 6 months Carter. You’re gettig so big. You’re doing a great job Erin.
