One of my dearest friends lives in Port-Au-Prince. The one that I talked about here. She is okay, but needs prayer, as do the thousands of others in Haiti. Their orphanage has been severely cracked, and they have been sleeping in their van.

When I heard the news of the earthquake, I immediately knew that God had Jared and Jalayne there, at this time, for a reason. I obviously pray for their safety etc., but am more worried that Satan will use this situation to discourage them. Please pray that God will provide them with hope, and that He will use them in a huge way.

Jalayne’s mom wrote a post for them on their blog and included these verses. I couldn’t help but share them myself.

Isaiah 43: 1-3 (paraphrased) “Fear not, I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; For I am the Lord, your God.”
Psalm 32:7 “You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.”
Feel free to check out their blog, and if you could, just shoot up a 3 second prayer for them, it would truly be appreciated.
