Today, has been a crazy day. I was about to post my “Frundy of the Day,” and then was confronted by something that upset me. After that, it seemed like issue after issue kept coming up. I haven’t been so emotionally drained in such a long time. The good thing about days like this, is that it all gets taken care of in one day. I even tackled a serious problem that had been looming with someone for a long time. I almost felt like, who cares what anybody else thinks about me, and it made me stronger to confront this individual. I still feel a little upset about things, but I know it will be better tomorrow. It’s been too much drama in one day, that I am just all worked up. I really need a wine cooler or something. I haven’t worked out today, so I’m sure once I do that, it will help burn off some of those feelings.
I have decided that through almost everything I dealt with today, that so many issues come out of poor communication. People act based on feelings. They feel like someone doesn’t like them or feel like someone wants to have no communication with them. We can misconstrue so much in our minds and by the end nobody likes us and the world is crashing down on us. Our minds are very dangerous and can get us into a lot of trouble. I am just as guilty as anybody else I dealt with today.
Communication is especially important in your marriage. Marty and I are doing well with this, but at times haven’t done the best. When we haven’t done well, it finally comes out that one was thinking a certain way about the other, or we were both going through our own personal problems and taking it out on one another. If we would have just communicated this, we could have helped each other. Poor communication can be such a danger to marriage.
Well, this wasn’t supposed to be a “Frundy of the Day,” but it seems it has turned into one. To you, my reader, I say, be up front with those you love. I don’t recommend nitpicking every little disagreement, but when there is a larger issue, just talk. We are all adults, and should be able to handle a conversation without flying off the handle. Good luck in all of your ongoing relationships and wish me continued luck with all of mine.
Let me know if you have any helpful tips or additional information regarding good communication. I would love to hear from you.
