On Friday, I ventured out to the farmer’s market. One that I hadn’t been to, but felt excited to see loads of produce and cute booths. Needless to say, it was a major disappointment, but the bathroom was spectacular! I am not even kidding. I had to get my farmer’s market fix, so Saturday included a different farmer’s market with fresh produce like this.

I have never seen such a spectacular display of color and sheen. There were also some fun booths, and just to make sure that I felt completely satisfied with my day out, I hit one of my favorite boutiques, followed by a trip to the fabric store.

I wearily returned home, tired and fatigued. I didn’t know a special surprise from a very special boy was awaiting my arrival.

I love the colors he chose and found it to be so sweet of him, but secretly knew the whole idea was my hubby’s, which made it even more special. A heart covered bag, with red tissue paper peaking out the top, sat on my nightstand. The contents included loads of heart-shaped Reese PB Cups and 2 cd’s I had been wanting. Very sweet. A couple of weeks ago, Marty brought home this lovely orchid for me,

and I had assured him I was not expecting any other sort of flower for Valentine’s Day. This exceeds every bouquet of red roses or wildflower mix that I could have received.

I keep it at my sink, so I can look at it often.

It gives me hope for spring in the midst of dreary cold weather.

I thought it was time I finally take a picture of the kitchen curtain that I made. It’s just a simple panel with a removable posy. I wanted to make something more complex, but wanted it done, like yesterday, so I opted for simple.

See that silver bucket on the corner of my counter? I got this for 5 buckaroos, and have designated it as my recycling bin. It is working quite well, and keeps cans and such off of my counter, until I can run outside to throw them in the real recycling container.

Today, my sink has two muffin pans soaking, because I made this knockoff monkey bread for my family on Valentine’s Day. Sticky but delicious!

Well, I hope you all had a fabulous Valentine’s Day and told the ones you love how much they actually are loved. In return, I am sure you all received lots of hugs and kisses, because you are also loved. I want to send out a cyber hug to all of you who have been following my blog, and reading on a daily basis. It feels good to know that people are listening. Keep listening, because every now and then, I actually have something worth while to say.

XOXOXO
