Let your creative juices flow.

When you take the time to do something creative, I think you find some of who you are. I never have the time to be very creative, but when I do, I’m so glad that I did take the time.  I enjoy art even though I am definitely no professional, but when I am drawing or painting a wave of happiness flows over me. It’s the creative things that you do that somewhat define who you are. Creativity is by no means just art. It can be cooking, writing, gardening, and even rearranging furniture. The list can go on and on. So, take at least a few minutes to do something that fits inside of your creative realm. If you have very little time and aren’t quite sure what to do, then just sit down and doodle on a piece of paper or color with your kids. Making this effort allows you to experience the side of yourself that you once remembered. When I recently took the time to paint, it brought back memories of when I still lived with my parents and would sit in my room and draw in my sketch pad. I miss that and am bound and determined to get that sketch pad out and start drawing again. There will never be a 25 hour day, so I will have to make the time in order to bring back that lost piece of who I really am.
