You know what is really boggling my mind lately? So much so, that I am knocking on my head and asking who is in there. Erin, is that you? Alright, I won’t keep you guessing, here it is…the fact that I am totally digging Country Living lately.
I’ve always found myself to be so contemporary and country was not in my vocabulary. But, something is changing inside of me. Not that I haven’t always loved the shabby chic look, but it’s not something that I was craving to welcome into my own home.
I truly believe that country has evolved into a whole new style though. Country in my mom’s day was all roosters, apples, and floral wallpaper. The more I look at these “country” spaces, I am seeing old with new and a little, or a lota, chipped paint here and there.
I’m done hating and now I’m loving. That is, only the “new” country.
Time for me to get dinner around. What’s on the menu tonight? Waffles, sausage, and eggs! Breakfast food is my fave!! [Especially at dinner.]
