Go There

Just thinking, I haven’t really told you where we went for our little get away over Labor Day weekend.

We saw these up close and personal. So personal, I got giraffe slobber all over my legs.

We stood in awe of butterflies.

We trekked through a dangerous bat-filled cave (not really, the bat or dangerous part, but we did walk through a cave).

We took a ferry to an island for the day, and then explored the island via a golf cart.

We took lots of scenic pictures.

Where did we go??

OHIO

We stayed in Port Clinton, and spent a day on Put-in-Bay Island. We also stopped by Marblehead on our way home. I wish that we would have had more time in this town. I would have loved to browse the few art galleries that lined the street. We also happened upon this beautiful lighthouse.

The most memorable part of the trip was the African Safari. I have never experienced wildlife this closely before. It was absolutely AMAZING!

Thanks to Jaxon being overtired Saturday night, Marty and I got to go on a much needed date. We went to Crabby Joe’s, a waterfront bar and grill. We sat and ate crab legs and mussels while listening to live music and catching occasional glimpses of each other from only the flicker of a candle.

Well, there it is. I would recommend visiting this part of Ohio if you live anywhere near this area. It took us 4 hours to get there, and it was totally worth it.
