Get behind the lens.

Mr. Carter is now 13 weeks. A few weeks before he turned 12 weeks, I knew it was time to dish out some cash and get his 12 week pictures taken. We always took Jaxon to Picture People and would walk out spending $200 easily. I wasn’t looking forward to that moment. I thought about trying the Target Photo Studio, but then thought to myself, why don’t I just take them myself? So, today, I got the little man dressed up, and took some pictures. Overall, I think they turned out well for a 12 week picture. I remember Jaxon’s at 12 weeks, and it’s really nothing great, because he was so small. I definitely like Carter’s 12 week pictures more than Jaxon’s. I was going to get them printed at CVS and pick them up, but they don’t do wallets online. So, I chose to go through Snapfish. I should have them in 3-5 days, and I only spent $9. I really hope they turn out nice. Experiment with your kiddos and you might be surprised at how well your pictures may turn out. With this economy, it’s definitely worth a try, and in the end  you will save some dough.

Erin, the pics you took of your baby are adorable! I love the black and white one with a smidgen of color!
I am a mom of 4 with my kiddos ranging in age from 19 to 6. I took my (only) sons high school pics. He got dressed up, we found a great wooded place, and took them there. I darkened the shot a little, and most could not believe I didn’t pay hundreds to have them done! I did a phenominal black and white with barely a hint of color of him! I LOVE that one! He wasn’t as sold as me, so we picked the other to duplicate. :o)
Look at black and whites or color pics on the web and recreate them! Both of your boys are adorable! They would look great with a black background, dark clothes, and make it black and white!
And I loved what you wrote about the coffe pot! I am with you there sister!! :o) Thanks for sharing a peak of your busy world!! :) jackie
